Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At Brooks Landing Dental, the technology we use helps us provide patients with the dental care they may need including dental lasers and digital x-rays.
Using Technology to Achieve Our Goal
At Brooks Landing Dental, we use technology to help gather data so we can plan the most effective treatments possible, and to make your dental appointments run smoothly.
Since we can display digital x-rays and scans on monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any emerging oral health issues and guide you through your treatment plan.
Our goal is to provide our patients with efficient dental care and to help make sure they are fully informed about their oral health. Dental technology helps us accomplish this objective.
Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays replace traditional photographic x-ray film with digital sensors. These x-rays produce extremely detailed computer images of your teeth and gums, in addition to other oral conditions and structures. This helps your dentist to see parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
Using panoramic x-rays, your dentist can create a single flat image of your entire mouth. This image represents the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and sinus and nasal structures. Panoramic x-rays are typically used to help plan treatments for implants, dentures, extractions, and braces.
Soft Tissue Lasers
Soft tissue dental lasers use extremely focused light beams to help with healing and repairing purposes. They help our dentists perform dental procedures such as lengthening crowns, reshaping gums, or treating periodontal disease while reducing pain, in addition to limiting the need for medical interventions.
